TREE PLANTING + SATELLITE IMAGING

For the second tree planting session at Mui Wo, Carbon Neutral had an even bigger group of volunteers. In total we were able to plant 130+ trees together and reforest 3 areas that we have identified using satellite imaging.

Essentially, the process of scanning the reforestation areas is currently manual, using Google Maps and coordinates to reforest trees. Hopefully, with our team of coders, we will create an autonomous system for this where we can simply go to these coordinates without the manual process. This would definitely increase the efficiency of our process and be able to incorporate technology into tree-planting.

Sadly, the tree-planting season is over for this year, however we will develop this program so that we will be more prepared for next years tree-planting season!
